This is a boxed deck of 50 cards, each card showing a different "granny square" design — a small crocheted motif that can be used alone or joined with others.

• On the front of each card: a full-color photograph of the finished granny square (each card is about 4 × 4 in / 10 × 10 cm).

• On the back of each card: an instructional crochet chart (diagram) showing how to make the square, plus any joining instructions or notes needed.

• The set also includes a booklet (32 pages): this contains instruction on how to read crochet charts, how to choose yarns and hooks, two methods of joining squares, and advice on colour placement and arrangement.

• All 50 designs are created to the same finished size (using the same hook size and yarn weight) so that any of the motifs can be joined together in a project without size mismatch.

• Useful for widely varied skill-levels: from those learning to read crochet charts (thanks to the booklet) to more experienced crocheters looking for fresh motifs and design inspiration.
